小熊與紅雀之戰，紅雀靠著Aledmys Diaz、Brandon Moss各轟出1支兩分砲，終場以4：2擊敗小熊。紅雀在國聯外卡緊咬排名第2的大都會、雙方只有半場勝差。

1局上小熊就靠著Dexter Fowler首局首打席全壘打先馳得點，2局上小熊繼續得分，1壘有人時Addison Russell敲出二壘安打，送回壘上跑者，小熊前2局就取得2分領先。

小熊領先沒有維持太久，紅雀2局下2人出局展開攻勢，Moss先敲出安打上壘，下一棒Diaz馬上用兩分砲將比數追平。

雙方後3局都沒能敲出安打上壘，小熊在4局上曾靠著紅雀中繼投手Alex Reyes送出3次保送、攻占滿壘，可惜沒能敲出適時一擊，雙方依舊維持平手局面。

6局下紅雀打破僵局，1人出局Yadier Molina敲出安打上壘，下一棒Jhonny Peralta擊出飛球遭接殺、沒能建功，2人出局輪到今天有安打演出的Moss上場打擊，Moss一棒轟出右外野方向兩分砲，紅雀取得4：2領先。

小熊最後3個半局的進攻機會，紅雀中繼後援投手Matt Bowman、Kevin Siegrist聯合送出9上9下，沒讓小熊越雷池一步，終場紅雀就以2分差擊敗小熊，國聯外卡只落後給排名第2的大都會半場勝差。
